Un-hinged...

Engine hood/bonnet part from kit box.

Part has been split, set in fixture and bits of styrene tubing fitted for hinge set up.

Un-hinged and left to dry plastic cement. 

"It's only a facade" radiator fabricated from styrene and photo-etch miniature radiator mesh.

Radiator facade will be installed behind grill. 

(Grillin') G4 surgery: detailing radiator grill with offset circle pattern photo-etch.

G4 surgery; Lengthening chassis/frame.

'bodywork' Widened fenders & conversion to truck cab.

Front and rear fenders widened with styrene strip, to accommodate wider profile wheels.  

Sedan/car body shortened and converted  to truck cab.

New spare-wheel wells fitted to fenders with resin wheels set for tolerance check.

1/35th Daimler-Benz G4: "resin tires, styrene rims and detailing instrument panel, oh my! "

A little 'shake-n-bake', matching styrene rims to resin wheels. 1/35th scale.
